Although cultivated blueberries are large and beautiful, it is the small wild blueberries of pristine Northern British Columbia, which are densely packed with immensely potent and powerful nutrition, and cancer protecting and immune boosting compounds. These include many anti-oxidants, phytochemicals, polyphenols, anthocyanins and proanthocyanidins. In addition to the above natural phyto compounds, blueberries contain a diverse range of phenolic compounds such as quercetin, kaempferol, myricetin and chlorogenic acid - all of which contribute to their antioxidant capacity.

Many peer-reviewed scientific studies have confirmed that wild blueberries contain almost double the amount of anti-oxidants and phytochemicals as cultivated blueberries. Additionally, when wild blueberries are made into wine, all the beneficial phytochemicals, anti-oxidants and compounds, mentioned above from the wild blueberries, are concentrated in the wine. Hence, even drinking a small amount of wild blueberry wine provides innumerable health benefits! The numerous natural phyto-compounds in B.C. wild blueberries have been scientifically studied by the U.S. Department of Agriculture (USDA) and many leading universities. The compounds are shown to have many powerful health stimulating properties, including anti-cancer, anti-tumor, anti-viral, anti-aging, cardiovascular protective, brain and memory protective amongst others.

In fact, the USDA has demonstrated that wild blueberries have an anti-oxidant Oxygen Radical Absorption Capacity (ORAC) value of 9,621, making it one of the highest of any fruit, and confirming its position as a super anti-oxidant berry! Furthermore, since wild blueberries grow naturally in the pure and pristine forests of northern British Columbia, where no chemicals, herbicides, pesticides and fungicides are allowed to be used, these wild blueberries are pure, chemical free and uncontaminated … Just as nature intended !

Based on numerous peer reviewed scientific studies, wild blueberries have been confirmed to be a SUPER ANTI-AGING fruit.
